Maria Mormile is a professional face painter, body artist and a Remedial Massage Therapist based in Melbourne, Australia. She has combined her passion for Face/Body painting with anatomy to produce a workshop on Muscle Painting for the Body Artist.  Maria was a educator at the 2009 Sydney IMATS and will bring The muscle Painting workshop to the FABAIC in 2010.  In 2009 she traveled to Seeboden Austria where she competed at the World Body Painting Festival.

Maria started her career as a Massage Therapist 13 years ago and has been teaching massage related subjects (including muscle anatomy) in both private and government colleges in Australia since 2004. During this time she also fell in love with body art and won the face painting award at the 2008 Australian Body Art Carnival. Maria has won international awards and was recently a finalist at the 2009 Italian Body Painting Festival. A very passionate artist, Maria has also taken a pro-active role in promoting Australian Body Art.  She is the founder and producer of The Australian Body Art Awards to be held in Melbourne on the 5th of February, 2010.
