At FABAIC we love to encourage young artists to succeed. At 24, Ashley Pickin is an upcoming artist who no doubt will be contributing a lot to the future of our industry. We are proud to welcome her as a first time instructor.

Ashely has been painting all of her life. At the age of 19 she picked up her first Snazaroo kit as a way of having fun on weekends. What started as painting for tips, has turned into a thriving face and body art business that not only supports her art habit, but also pays for college! In five short years, her business Pic-N-Paint has grown to include new and fun activities like balloon art and temporary tattoos. Starting out self taught, she is constantly broadening her knowledge and skills a face painter.

She has trained with leading makeup instructors and has traveled nationwide to learn and compete at face and body art conventions. At the same time, she is finishing school as an undergraduate at Old Dominion University majoring in art education and ceramics.

Ashley has won recognition from her peers in Snazaroo US competitions, convention competitions, as well as having her work published in Illusion Magazine and Marcella's Book of Masks. Ashley is excited to bring that colorful and graphic arts background to others during her second visit to FABAIC!
