The 2007 Face and Body Art International Convention Competition was truly a success! Over 67 people registered, and participated in the 21 divisions of competition - for Novice, Intermediate and Masters levels. Apparently you all were excited to compete, too, because there were 230+ entries in all the divisions combined... that’s a lot of competition! 

We awarded certificates of placement, excellence, and merit, along with medals and trophies.

We were also proud to announce that the judging, done by seeing the artwork live rather that in a photo, was “blind”. The judges, and the competitors, did not know who was who, and so a fair environment was created for competition. We will continue this style of judging next year, and every year thereafter.

I would like to personally thank Marcela Murad for giving us the opportunity to create this new competition system for FABAIC, and for trusting us to make it work. I hope we have made you proud, and we look forward to doing it all again.
